Book Series "Bhoota Gappa" First Part Released on 31st October, 2024 in Amazon Kindle
"Bhoota Gappa", means "Ghost Stories", in the Odiya dialect, and that's my native language from the land of Jagannath, where I come from called Odisha. This all started back in 1985, when we used to visit Buxi bazar, Cuttack, our grandparents house, during summer holidays, as stories where a kid's portal to imagination back then, we were narrated an infinite number of stories, by my grandmother (father's mom), most of it in the genre of ghosts, spirits, black magic, which either she had experiences of her own or she narrated experiences of someone close to her from her childhood, as she called it "Bhoota Gappa", I name this book series in memory of my grandmother, who wanted to become a great educator some day and read a lot of books in various languages, despite of being educated just till middle school.
Each book in this series, will consist of 7 short horror stories, followed by a snippet of a bigger horror story happening in parallel, with all the characters from these shorter stories. Some of these experiences are being shared for the first time and are stories inspired by an amalgamation of true stories and events. This will make your heart beats faster, your eyes get bigger and your minds a bit foggy, while you feel chillier as you walk deeper into the darkness of these haunting experiences.
It all started with "2minhorrorstories" on Aug 28th, 2024, where I published 60 stories till Oct28th, 2024 through JustUtter's Facebook and Insta feed. I started to write the "Shadow", then "Kill", by the time I published "Room: The Lucky Escape", people had started to storm into my page, excited to talk about my next story. There were readers, pinging me asking for the next story, there were readers emailing me their own experiences. I had never thought, that horror stories, will be making me go closer to more than 4 Million users in the span of just 3 months.
